TPHCCA's Goals

  • Membership Policies

    CLASSES OF MEMBERSHIP

    ACTIVE MEMBERS
    These members are owners and co-owners who are registered or licensed with the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services or regulated military for home child care facilities. Each member is entitled to one (1) vote. TDPRS Internet Web Site will verify active Membership. Only send a copy of your TDPRS Licenses or Registration and a copy of your check or money order if requested.

    ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
    These members are persons or groups interested in the welfare of children in child care. Associate Membership shall be open to the general public. Associate members shall not be entitled to vote or hold office. Providers, who do not provide TPHCCA with a copy of their TDPRS Registration or Licenses and a copy of their check or money order that was sent for current Registration or license, or be verified by TDPRS Internet Web Site, will be listed as an Associate Member. This also includes providers that are classified as Listed with TDPRS. Associate Members may serve as a Chair on a Committee.

    HONORARY MEMBERS
    Honorary Members whom the association wishes to recognize. Honorary Members shall be entitled to all privileges of Associate Members.

    LIFETIME MEMBERS
    Lifetime Membership is exclusive to all Past Presidents in good standing. These members have the same benefits as Active or Associate Members Depending on each individual case.

    CORPORATE MEMBERS
    Corporate Members are businesses that provide services that would enhance both the child care business or the provider. These members will receive 20% discount on Advertisement in the VIP Newsletter as well as discount on exhibit space at Conference. Upon joining as a Corporate Member, you will receive one complementary quarter page size advertising privilege in our VIP Newsletter. Corporate Members shall be entitled to the same voting privileges of Associate Members. These members may exhibit at Regional Workshops with Regional Representative approval.

    AGENCY MEMBERS
    Agency Members are either Food Program Sponsors or Non-Profit 501 (c) (3). These members will receive 15 % discount on Advertisement in the VIP Newsletter as well as a 15% discount on exhibit space at Conference. Agency Members shall be entitled to same voting privileges of Associate Members. These members may exhibit at Regional Workshops with Regional Representative approval. Agency Members may pay the fee of the Corporate Membership in order to upgrade benefits.

    SMALL IN-HOME BUSINESS MEMBERS
    Small In-Home Business Members are small in-home businesses that provide services that would enhance both the child care business or the provider. These Small In-Home Business Members shall fall under a similar category as of Tupperware Dealers, Independent Avon Representatives, Discovery Toy Distributors, or Mary Kay Consultants, etc. These members will receive a 10% discount on Advertisement in the VIP Newsletter as well as 10% discount on exhibit space at Conference. These members may exhibit at Regional Workshops with Regional Representative approval. Small In-Home Business Members shall be entitled to same voting privileges of Associate Members. Small In-Home Businesses may pay the fee of either the Agency Membership or the Corporate Membership in order to upgrade benefits.

    Session IV classes are "Lunch and Learn" classes. Stop by the registration table Thursday evening or Friday morning if you wish to purchase (cash only) a Jason's Deli catered meal. You also have the option of bringing your own bagged lunch to the class or not eating and just attending the class.
